Mary Kay MORRISON

After graduation from Northern Illinois University Department of Education, Morrison completed her masters degree in Adult Education and a certificate program in Educational Administration. Morrison, who conducted consulting and teacher training in more than 200 schools, taught in all levels starting from kindergarten to college. She took part in various committees of Illinois State Education Council. She also made presentations on training related brain research, coaching, attention deficit and hyperactivity group researches, parent education, humor and anger management.
When she first discovered the power of humor on preserving a balanced life and reducing stress, Mary Kay Morrison dedicated herself to harmonizing humor and education. She started working in an institution called “Humor Quest” of  which she is also the founder.  She also has many published books such as “Using Humor to Maximize Learning”, Exploring Links between Positive Emotions and Education” which are currently in use as text books at colleges.


Dr. Sema SÜVARİOĞLU

She was born in 1958 and graduated in 1976 from Istanbul American Robert College, followed by Bogazici University Psychology Department in 1981. She received her master’s degree on Clinical Psychology at Bogazici University. Suvarioglu then got her phD by completing her thesis  on organizational behaviour science on the subject of “Creative Problem Solving” from Marmara University in 1994. She gave lectures about “Creative Thinking” at Marmara University for 12 years. She tried to understand the thinking systems, different perspectives of life by inviting cartoonists her classes. She attended as a participant at a conference organized by “Humor Project” in Saratoga Springs NY. She also directed workshops about creativity and humor at International Creativity Conferences in Istanbul for 2 years. She attended at creativity workshops that are organized by CIPSI and Center For Creative Leadership in the US.
She has been adding modules about humor into her corporate and invidual trainings since 1996 and teaching techniques regarding the use of humor in conflict management training.
Dr. Sema Süvarioğlu, stil serves as a trainer, consultant and executive coach at Pusula Training and Consultancy of which she is also the co-founder. She gives lectures at prominent universities master programs


İrfan SAYAR

Irfan Sayar, was born in Manisa, Turkey. He made his own toys out of mud and wood instead of playing with regular toys. After a while he realized that he didn’t enjoy other toys but only the ones that he made for himself. After Manisa High School, he graduated from Fine Arts Academy Decorative Arts. He met Oğuz Aral when he was still a  sophomore and started drawing at Gırgır Magazine in 1975. Meanwhile he created the “Porof Zihni Sinir” character. (Jan 30 1977). He published Mikrop Magazine with other friends. Later on, he directed Hıbır Magazine. He founded Hayal Mahsulleri Ofisi and published RR Resimli Roman Magazine. He, later published another magazine called HBR Maymun with his friends, where he worked both as a  founder and director. He held an exhibition consisting of 100 original comics. He began manufacturing his works as 3D at his workshop in Arnavutköy, publishing them on his website www.zihnisinir.com. He also designed the bicycle, workshop and various electronic and mechanic tools of the movie Vizontele. Afterwards he moved his workshop from Arnavutköy to Taksim Lamartin Caddesi. In 2005 Porof and cafe parts were also included into this workshop, Office and showroom complex. He started workshops for companies and young children. He founded “Mass Production Workshop” in 2008. Currently, he draws Porof Zihni Sinir character in TÜBİTAK Science and Technology Magazine. İrfan Sayar, who combines science and technology with humor, lectures at Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Informatics.
